PS-1:  ETHICS:  WHAT ARE THEY?  HOW DO YOU GET THEM?              

            DO YOU WANT THEM?        

Faculty:  Barry P. Blank, Ph.D. 

              Wednesdays:  December 6, 13, 20. 2006

              8-9:30 PM (Roslyn Heights)

This seminar will explore the question of ethics and how they relate to good clinical and sound professional practices.  The focus of the seminar will be on clinical material.  Additionally, there will be discussion of the NYS Practice Alerts and the processes within the Office of Professional Discipline.

PS-2:  DREAMWORK 

Faculty:  Richard R. Hansen, Ph.D., ABPP

Wednesdays:  January 10, 17, 24, 2007

                        7:30 – 9PM (Roslyn Heights)

Using dreams, both the patient’s and the analyst’s, to deepen the therapeutic experience.

PS-3:  INTRODUCTION TO EXECUTIVE COACHING AND ORGANIZATIONAL

INTERVENTIONS IN THE BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

Faculty:  Bruce Hammer, Ph.D.

Wednesdays:  Feb. 28.  March 7, 14.

The instructor will use examples from his leadership and organizational development practice to explore the application of psychodynamic principles and psychoanalytic knowledge to family and publicly owned businesses, both large and small. 

PS-4:  MIND AND NATURE

Faculty:  Elizabeth Allured, Psy.D.

              Wednesdays:  March 21, 28.  April 4.

               7- 8:30 PM (Roslyn Heights)          

This course will discuss how the western psyche became alienated from the environment, and how we can facilitate our patients’ movement towards a mind/body/environment experience of consciousness.

PS-5:  MULTIPLE IDENTIFICATIONS OF THE ANALYST

Faculty:  Barbara Covell, LCSW

              Thursdays:  April 12, 19, 26.

              8-9:30 PM (Rockville Centre)

This seminar will explore the ways in which learning and wisdom achieved throughout multiple life stages broaden our analytic skills.
