proseminar program
The ProSeminar Program of SIPP is a 15 week sequence of courses (classes are 90 minutes long) held on Wednesday evenings. It is designed to offer a training experience to mental health professionals who wish to explore their interest in the psychoanalytic approach to psychotherapy, to expand their knowledge and skills, and to make a connection with a professional community without having to make a commitment to a 4 year certificate-granting program.

Designed to accommodate working professionals, the ProSeminar Program provides participants with an opportunity to begin integrating didactic and clinical experience at a post-graduate level, with emphasis placed on "practical" applications or psychoanalytic theoretical concepts. Classes will be held at instructors' offices (in Nassau and Suffolk Counties).

Supervision can be arranged for eligible participants.

In the upcoming year of the ProSeminar Program, we are offering a sequence of five 3-week minicourses, taught by five members of our faculty. These courses may be taken as a complete sequence, or individual courses may be selected.
