Admission
The program is open to social workers, psychologists, school psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, mental health counselors, marital and family counselors, creative arts counselors, pastoral and rabbinical counselors, and other mental health professionals with a Masters degree or higher.
Requirements:
Candidates will complete the academic courses and attend 40 hours of individual supervision with faculty from the Institute.
While candidates are not required to be in their own therapy, it is strongly recommended. For those candidates who choose to be in three times weekly psychoanalysis with an accredited analyst, those treatment hours would be counted toward the fulfillment of the treatment requirements of the Suffolk Institute's analytic training program, should the candidate choose to continue in our four-year program.
A letter of completion will be awarded to each candidate fulfilling the requirements of the program.
